Who’s behind it?
The easiest way to get to the heart of a new program is to take a look at who is behind it. In this case, it’s Adrian Morrison, a Facebook marketer who has made millions with his ecomm store with a pretty unusual strategy – he has a Shopify store where products are FREE and you pay for shipping. Crazy, right? It’s this weird approach that he is teaching through the Ecom Success Academy.
Now, if the name Adrian Morrison is familiar to you, it might be because his brother, Anthony Morrison has already developed an online reputation. Unfortunately for them both, it’s not exactly a good reputation. In 2016, Anthony launched an online course called Success With Anthony that got REALLY bad reviews. Some people even went as far as calling it a scam and if you’re one of the people who heard about this, we can understand why you might be a little sceptical!
Now, we all know that it’s not cool to tar people with the same brush just because they are from the same family and let’s remember that the bad press was for Anthony and not Adrian, who is the founder of this course. Adrian is a Facebook marketer and all-round business mogul who wants to share his knowledge with the public. At the very least, we should check it out.
The very first step – a platform
The first step, as you might imagine, is to open a Shopify account, as that is the platform he uses with his method. This costs money – although you can try Shopify free for a period, you soon have to upgrade to a service that costs $30 a month. Adrian also suggests that you actually upgrade to a better account, which is nearer $80 a month, but it does offer benefits in terms of processing fees and extra features.
Next steps – a product
Once you have a platform, you’ll need to put some effort into finding a niche. We don’t think it’s overstating matters to say that the niche is the key to it all – if you’re not making any money, you can’t run your business. Finding this rare, profitable, and accessible niche is really, really tough. Adrian offers a special product to help you with this task – the SIZZLE Product Sniper Software – but obviously, you have to pay extra.
The 3rd step – Facebook Ads
The third step in the process of becoming an ecom master is to set up the Facebook Ads funnel that you will use to bring visitors to your shop. Since Adrian is a Facebook Ads expert, we had high hopes for this part. Unfortunately, even though the information contained in this section is solid, it’s not revolutionary. It just involves creating a specific audience and boosting your products to them, which is always how Ads work.
Our final thoughts
Well, coming into the eCom Success Academy with the image of Anthony Morrison in our heads wasn’t the best start, but we gave it a go anyway.
The main thing that strikes us about the course is the fact that Adrian tells us that, under the right conditions, we can start to sell products in only one day. Now, these online ecommerce courses always make some big claims and you have to take them with a pinch of salt. You could make a sale in just a day, if you were lucky, but between following the course and, especially, doing the recommended Facebook Ads trial runs, which take at least a few days, and we think a sale in a day is pretty unlikely.
Another point is that this course isn’t really for people on a tight budget. As well as the price of the course itself, there’s a fair bit of upselling and when it comes to the Facebook Ads, Adrian suggests that you drop $200 per test to get a good idea of what’s working. For many new entrepreneurs, after buying the course, they won’t have $5 for lunch, let alone $600 dollars for Facebook Ads!

In order to find a knowledge business group, you can simply do a google search for something like: »mastermind group for X«
A good place to look is Facebook. People with similar interests join groups on FB and a simple post in one of these, could help you find members of your knowledge business group.
There are also paid options like the Perfect Mastermind Formula by Tony Robbins, Dean Graziosi and Russell Brunson. However, this will be launching in April and only a limited amount of people will be able to join. This way they will ensure the quality of the mastermind is kept at the highest possible level. Now why would you pay for a mastermind? Simply put: accountability. If you pay for a mastermind, you are held accountable, not only to yourself but also to other members of the group.

According to Adrian Morrison, Ecom Success Academy is a product that will help train a person to make money with eCommerce and dropshipping. How do they do it? Morrison released the product in May 2016 and has used the same techniques on his own eCommerce website growing his profits to approximately $4 million in only eight months. At least, this is what Morrison claims he has down.
Now he promises that the product will work in the same manner for others; however, there is no guarantee. The program is not instantaneous in generating income, but requires hard work to make money. Morrison utilizes a Shopify website with a unique sales technique selling items for free but charging for postage – this is the so-called free plus shipping method. How Does Ecom Success Academy Operate?
Adrian Morrison indicates that the Ecom Success Academy course can teach a person how to build your own eCommerce business help a person begin making money selling items online, and you can start generating income on your first day! This is an impressive statement, but is it true? Can a person start earning money on their first day out?
The first step in the program is to open a Shopify account. Morrison recommends that while there are free accounts, you should consider upgrading to Shopify at $79 monthly with additional fees. A further problem with the Ecom Success Academy product is that it can be different to find a good niche product to generate enough sales to cover the costs of advertising. Think about it, if all people have this software then it is likely that everyone will be searching for the same products to sell.
How To Use Facebook Ads As Promotion For Products and Shopify as Your Selling Platform?
According to Adrian Morrison, you should create advertisements on Facebook to promote your online products being sold on Shopify. The Facebook ads will target a certain audience and sell the products to people who would more than likely purchase them. This is nothing new and Facebook offers boosted advertisements promoting products to targeted audiences for some time. This is not made clear by Morrison and people believe all he needs is the initial cost of the program.
Who Is the Man Behind eCom Success Academy?
Adrian Morrison states that he is called a Facebook Marketing Expert because he has generated a large amount of income using Facebook ads for his own e-commerce site. He also maintains to have mastered the art of advertising on Facebook teaching thousands of other people how to complete this task. In fact, he has been invited to Facebook headquarters; so, why not offer people a refund on this product? Typically no refund happens when the business is going out of operation and all sales are final.
Adrian Morrison is the brother of Anthony Morrison and was featured in the video pitching of Anthony’s product – “Success With Anthony”. Unfortunately, the “Success With Anthony” product was considered a poor-quality product filled with spam. It was filled with continuous pop-up advertisements leading viewers down a never-ending sales funnel attempting to sell them one product after another. It kept the viewer’s head spinning and did not offer a complete picture of how the item actually worked.
However, that was not the end of it. The Morrison brothers did not merely sell a flurry of programs and that was all. Once a person had subscribed to the product and paid for items, they would also receive various telephone calls redirecting them to other people offering personalized coaching for thousands of dollars. Before you knew it, this high-pressure marketing strategy had you owing thousands of dollars for services.
How did they do it? The strategy is relatively simple when you break it down. As a user, you would be convinced by professional marketers who know how to persuade you that using private coaches would be ideal to complete a get rich quickly scheme. Once you are pre-qualified by discussing your financial budget and how much you are able to afford, you will be told that the coaching costs will be exactly the amount you are able to afford with your credit card allowance. These are the dodgy techniques the Morrison’s used making them online millionaires.
Believe it or not, Anthony Morrison did offer a refund to the buyers allowing people to reclaim their cash; however they became totally confused with all of the popup advertisements. Adrian Morrison, in comparison, does not offer a refund option for his product. So, why is the Ecom Success Academy different and is it legit?

Progressives are often frustrated that our messaging and ideas aren’t breaking through, whether it’s in a meeting with a campaign target, to members on your email list, or in the traditional media.
There are a lot of reasons this might happen, but there are a few I rarely hear mentioned: sometimes the point just isn’t relevant to the audience, is too complicated, or uses language that is difficult for the audience to understand.
If what you are trying to communicate does not actually get communicated, the best thing you can do is take responsibility for how you communicated and change it up. Ask yourself the following questions when your message fails to catch on (or, ask them beforehand and give your message a better chance to succeed!):
- How could you be presenting what you’re trying to communicate in a more effective way?
- What language could you be using that would make it easier for others to hear what you’re communicating?
- Who is the best messenger given your audience?
When crafting a communications plan or just preparing for a meeting, consider the audience and what you want them to hear. You may not always get the answer you want, but you will have at least delivered the point in a way your audience could hear it — and you can deal honestly with the consequences with respect to the substance from there.

This intense week-long online organizer training was modeled on Campaign Corps’ “Campaign Schools” – a mixture of lectures, discussions, exercises and intensive campaign simulation that took place long into every night of the training. The training produced a class of talented and trained online organizers who understand politics and people, as well as the Internet and technology.

The Institute selected exceptionally talented trainees from a diverse range of backgrounds, actively recruiting outside of technologist stereotypes, and we were rewarded with a fantastic and diverse class of trainees. Among our trainees were experienced programmers, recent college graduates, computer science majors, community organizers, campaign professionals, individuals with little to no technology experience, web designers, and those looking to break into the emerging field of new organizing in politics.The diversity of backgrounds and experiences resulted in a far better learning experience, as trainees gained new ideas and insights not just from NOI trainers, but each other.
The curriculum incorporated basic campaign training as well as Internet and technology skills. NOI trainees were also trained in the use of Constituent Relations Managers (CRMs), online tool sets that allow users to create websites, manage volunteers, organize online petitions, and send mass email blasts. This is something we previously saw in affiliate marketing, just like you can see in the PE training course by Mark Ling, Gerry Cramer and Rob Jones. Here too, NOI sought to present its trainees with a diverse selection of firms, from those catering to large campaigns and non-profit organizations, to those designed for campaigns at the state, local, and Congressional level. Representatives from a number of firms attended the training, including:

NOI trainees used the CRMs provided by the above firms to build campaign websites, giving them valuable hands-on experience with these products.
After the training
The New Organizing Institute will follow up with continued support for our trainees throughout their early careers. Our goal is to create a network of experienced online organizers and technologists committed to progressive values and better organization for business and eCommerce owners. The NOI hopes to inject talented and trained online organizers and technologists into the job markets of electoral politics, advocacy and charitable organizations.
Since the training, the NOI staff has stayed in contact with our trainees.
