Action Items and Next Steps:

Strengthening the Relationship between the LGBT Movement and Comprehensive Immigration Reform:

   * Add LGBT representation to RIFA advisory board
   * Connect with: Depak Bhargava and Ali Hoorani (John will be the liaison)
   * Phil Attey will collect for John Brian the contact info of LGBT leaders (orgs) to recommend for RIA board.
   * Prerna Lal will collect for John Brian the contact info of LGBT leaders (netroots) to recommend for RIA board.
   * United we Dream has organizational grassroots network. Reform Immigration for America has financial resources. We encourage a cross effort: a joint netroots project, combining teams from both orgs to orchestrate a co-branded standalone campaign that benefits both organizations and advances a combined mission.

Discussion on CIR/hate speech/messaging:

   * Find ongoing online discussions about CIR and plug into their messaging
   * Build a champion for CIR on the Left (conference calls as a tactic of bringing online community to expert)
   * Get more progressive bloggers interested
   * Follow the hate speech to establish villians
   * Establish Wiki of the Bad Guys, narrow in with state bloggers on mobilizing offline action in communities

Collaboration around UAFA:

   * Figure out what pressure points are; is it member meetings or getting stories out into the general public.
   * Encouraging bloggers to include advocacy links in their site -- make sure that bloggers are talking to advocacy groups & advocacy groups are taking feedback from bloggers on the types of actions.
   * Trickle-up storytelling. Bloggers recieve comments on their site all the time from folks with compelling personal stories. Advocacy organizations/bloggers need to communicate these to/'from one another.
   * Question: Do we need a national coordinate campaign like the WRITE TO MARRY campaign for this?
