Distributed phonebanking

Distributed phonebanking is an organizing tactic where large numbers of volunteers make phone calls to a target universe -- e.g. voters -- from their homes, or from organized events such as calling parties. The technology behind distributed phonebanking ranges from very simple to very complex. A low-tech approach would be to give participants access to a list of phone numbers and names, plus a script, and have them report back their results via a web-form. High-tech approaches may use predictive dialers, automated phone survey tools, bar-codes and other tools to efficiently distribute calls and record results.
