The Journal of New Organizing publishes original research, reporting and analysis of organizing practice and theory by practitioners, academics and expert observers.
Founded in 2009, the Journal aims to advance public analysis, actionable knowledge and transparent dialogue in the organizing space, from local community organizing to national campaigns to new media innovations. The Journal encourages and solicits feedback, letters, article proposals and original submissons at jno@neworganizing.com
The New Organizing Institute is launching the JNO in order to bring much-needed analysis and dialogue about the practices of organizing, leadership building and management, and effective campaigning in the progressive movement.
The journal will be released quarterly as an online publication, beginning with 5 – 8 pieces in the form of long and short articles, interviews, video pieces, debates, timelines of events, and letters from the editorial staff.
Each issue will be focused around a theme and will be peer-reviewed.
