BootCamp 2009 on the Way!

BootCamp is well on it's way and we have some exciting things to report.  In the past few months we received a record number of applications  *over 600*  from all over the world (literally, from Turkey to Texas!).  Even more exciting than the sheer numbers was the quality of the applicants, their stories --challenges, triumphs and hopes for a better future -- were inspiring to read; and then later, even better to hear about over phone interviews. All in all, we were humbled by both the exceptional degree of interest in the program and the quality of the applicants.  Needless to say, our deliberation process was painstaking but last week we were able to offer admittance to 60 extraordinarily qualified and diverse applicants committed to using new media in their professional future.  We are thrilled to welcome our participants to DC this July 4th for a jam packed week of political new media training... just 24 short days away!

Although we wish we could've accepted many more applicants, we are invigorated by number of people committed to creating social change through new media, and are just that much more hopeful about the future knowing that they are out there.
